In the mid 26th century, humans live in sealed subterranean domed colonies called Grôköpol. They are taught no one can survive the outside world, a void they call Externum Inanis. A young man challenges Grôköpol doctrine, is punished for his heresy and then cast into this void. His younger brother refuses to accept his brother is forever lost.
